This is a typical situation of “you only see my glory, but do you know my story”. I’v seen Rozanne at many church events and soon thereafter we were Facebook Friends then followers on IG. She looked like the woman who “had it all”… a nice career, a handsome and loving husband, etc. Never did I know where she came from. Through the Grace of God, she recently celebrated her 30th Birthday, and spoke openly about her past and background. Obviously, with us being sisters in Christ and all, she gave me permission to share her story for His Glory.
Being a young girl, growing up in Schauderville, faced with many challenges… peer pressure, prejudice and stigma I remember telling myself that I’ll rise above it all and that there has to be more than the current situation I’m faced with.
Being born out of wedlock into a family with a history of mental illness I was already labeled a failure, someone who would amount to nothing, someone who will also have children out of wedlock and of cause will also have a nervous breakdown and live on social welfare.
But God had other plans for me. By the grace of God my sole prayer was answered: To get an education, stay pure for my husband, for God to send me a Godly husband who saved himself for me, and of cause to have my children in wedlock.
Today I can only thank God for where I find myself. It is only when you look back that you can see how God has truly carried you! Don’t give up, PUSH, there is more out there than your current situation. God wants what’s best for you!!
My favorite scripture:
Eph. 3:20-21.amp Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super-abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]– To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it)
